XP was so much better I think I should've installed it on my laptop the day I got it I never got any problem with it and within a month of having Vista I had random crashes and now this!

Here's something new. If I understood correctly the 'Processeur' column is the percentage of my processor that's being used by a said app right? Why is this 24kb innactive process using 93% of my CPU then...

Besides, 65 processes is way too much. I try to aim for something under 50, 40 at best.

I just unticket EVERYTHING from the startup tab in msconfig and after restarting I still have 63 processes running! The svchosts are REALLY my problem ,they're all firing up on computer start up.

Doesnt seem to cause errors or anything, and really it doesnt bother me at all except in gaming. I've lost half of my FPS and it can only be because of this taking power off my CPU. LFS had 80+ steady FPS and now I get 40 and it drops a lot in the 10s sometimes.

And yes I did reboot quite a few times. :s

For a couple of days my computer has been running slow. I checked the task list and saw something like 12 svschost.exe's running and some of them are taking over 150mb!

Is there was way to reduce their use of my CPU? LFS is running half the speed it usually does because of all those programs running for idk which reason in background.

...Or if you want it simplier just do like me and get 4 sticks of 2gbs. It runs LFS quite fine.

My ping has been quite bad this weekend. While I usually get betwen 42 to 280 ms ping (Which is already not too good), this weekend I have been getting up to 3000 ms at some point. Is it just the bad weather playing with my wireless connection? It's been raining for the last 3 days maybe it doesnt help cause it was all fine before that...

I noticed a general slowdown with my connection too so maybe it's just the weather causing problems with the wireless connection.

Also, when I close online mode it says 'Closing 6-7-8 connections'. It depends from time to time.

Ah, right. It'll have to do then cause I'm not planning to buy a monitor for my laptop only to get rid of those little jaggies. Better than nothing....

My GFX card can take upto 16x AA. But anyway as I said there's not difference from 4x to 16-32x since the monitor resolution is too small. Actually it's a 14,1'' widescreen so you dont see any jaggies when you sit from a normal distance. I just got really close to the thing and then I saw the imperfections on my screeshots. Not a big deal.

Since I got my new laptop a few weeks ago I tought I'd try to tweak the settings to the best so LFS looks godlike. Here is how it comes out following Jack's advices.

Maybe I'm too perfectionist but I stil see some jaggies around the roof. Is it only me?

4x to 32x is the same thing. With 32x AA I get like 30FPS but no graphic imrprovement.
